My husband and I recently did the new night tour at DallasCityTour.com and were a little underwhelmed, but I have to say DCTs after-dark tour “went above and beyond our expectations. Unlike any other tour, this tour is completely different from the one they offer during the day (at least from the one we did last year) and you also get champagne before the tour, a great selection of snacks during “intermission”, plus a souvenir photo in front of the famous Oswald house. All of this is included in the ticket price – no charging extra for pictures like they do on some of the other tours. Ricardo was our fabulous guide, SO sweet and very knowledgeable. Personally I have no idea how she keeps so many names and stories straight but he did a great job of telling us all the tales!!! he was happy to answer all of our questions (we had a lot) and she even offered to carry my extra water bottle for me in her bag because my hands were full… so thoughtful!!! John, who checked us in at the very beginning and served the snacks later on was great too. Both he and Ricardo were super friendly and personable and they really seem to love what they do which made the tour even more enjoyable.
I love ghost stories, unsolved crimes/conspiracies, etc. so this tour was right up my alley, but I think anyone would enjoy it. You get to go into Oswalds home which is awesome. We’ve seen movies there but we’d never been able to explore the grounds, so I was excited about that part of the tour and it did not disappoint. The only other chance to look around the cemetery is to go when they’re open during the day and I just can’t imagine it being the same experience. One last thing to note is that this walking tour is definitely a LOT of walking. We liked that about it, but it was tiring. All in all though, an amazing experience!!!
